Kwong Ming was always a family favorite while I was growing up, so when I saw it was still in business, we decided to try it out after 10+ years of eating there. In terms of decor, the place hasn't changed in probably 20 years, if not more. It is very specious inside, great for large groups but parking has always been limited with a tiny lot. We were seated all the way in the back next to the mirrored wall, and I noticed such a large amount of dust and grime on the outdated wall sconces. Besides that, nothing else seemed to be dirty, just old.

We were given hot tea and fried noodles with hot mustard and duck sauce and our drinks were brought over right away. We took advantage of the lunch specials which come with a choice of soup or can of soda and white or fried rice. We got the Sesame Chicken and Beef with Broccoli, Wonton Soup, Egg Drop Soup and Fried Rice.

The Egg Drop soup tasted good but had such a strong smell that was almost off-putting. Wonton soup was your typical wonton soup. The sesame chicken was better than most, with extra crispy chicken setting it above the rest. The beef with broccoli tasted fine but the thick, almost chunky sauce, was a little strange. When it came to the rice, we realized it had almost a rotten egg smell to it, but just like the egg drop soup, it tasted fine. Not sure what it is about their eggs!

Our meals came with ice cream so we got one vanilla, one strawberry and one pistachio which they threw in for the kids. There's something so good about Chinese ice cream!

Throughout the whole meal, service was good with the very friendly staff interacting with the kids.

Overall it wasn't anything special or above average with the exception of the sesame chicken, which is why the rating is right in the middle. With better choices for Chinese in the area, I doubt we'll be back.
