We were looking for someplace new, different from where we'd usually go, so when a Google ad popped up for Vivaldi's we decided, why not! When we arrived for brunch on Sunday, only the left side dining room was being used. The right side dining room was beautiful, with darker colors, dark wood, a bar and a fireplace that gave the whole setting a bit of a rustic feel. The room we were seated in is almost the complete opposite--bright and airy, with a lot of whites, beiges and light colored woods. It feels elegant and upscale while still being comfortable and while it looks spacious, there was a bit of a squeeze with it being as busy as it was. We were seated in a booth that lined the wall and it was extra cozy with large down throw pillows. It was also pretty loud in the room but not so much that we couldn't hear each other.
A cheery waitress came over to welcome us and take our orders and bring us some crusty bread and olive oil. As it says on the brunch menu, they serve complimentary Champagne, Mimosa, Bellini's and juices. We tried a mimosa and it was the perfect blend of orange juice and champagne. For our meals we ordered the Wild Mushroom and Spinach Frittata with Shallot, Thyme, Garlic and Fontina Cheese, served with Grilled Ciabatta, the Eggs Benedict, served with Roasted Tomato Basil Hollandaise and Home Fries and a side of Applewood Smoked Bacon.
We munched on some of the delicious bread and olive oil while we waited for our food, which didn't really take that long considering how busy it was. Everything looked absolutely wonderful when it came out. The Eggs Benedict had perfectly poached eggs, a delicious hollandaise sauce and sat on top of crispy pancetta. The homefries were delicious with red and green peppers and onions, and almost had a spanish flair to them.
The Mushroom and Spinach Frittata was good, but it sounded better on the menu than it did when it reached the table. I was looking forward to all of the flavors but I couldn't really distinguish any garlic, shallots or thyme. For me, it was also lacking salt and I would've used some if it were on the table. Instead, I took some of the perfectly cooked smoky and salty bacon and crumbled it into the frittata. That just put it over the top but I still couldn't finish it because it was so filling especially with the side of grilled ciabatta.
The whole time, service was top notch. Whenever our waters were running low, they were immediately refilled, and we were constantly checked up on, even by the manager/owner. Our waitress was super friendly with the kids, even getting down to their level and talking to them. It was sweet and they responded to her well. We weren't expecting valet service so when we arrived, it was a nice surprise, and even the valet had warm, friendly staff.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and definitely see ourselves going back here. It's great for families, foodies or even a romantic date. We can't wait until the Spring when their outdoor patio opens up as well, it is definitely worth the trip.
